“Moved and strengthened by the Holy Spirit, the members spare no effort to arrive at a total gift of themselves. They aim to become, through Christ, a response to the Lord “who first loved them” (I John 4:10). They express this response in the profession of the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience.” Art 5, Profession, a Response of Love. CS 56.

(Lipa, Philippines) In the midst of this trying time, we are grateful for the gift of vocation as we witnessed the Temporary Profession of eight of our members to the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer at St. Gerard Majella Common Novitiate of the Conference of Asia – Oceania on 4th July in Lipa. The professed members are from the Vice-Province of Manila, the Province of Cebu, Province of Thailand, and province of Oceania.

The Liturgy was presided over by Fr. Victorino A. Cueto. The ceremony was held in the Divino Amor Shrine, Lipa City, in the province of Batangas, Philippines.

We thank God for their gift of a vocation and pray for them as they dedicate their lives to “follow the example of Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, by preaching the Word of God to the poor and the abandoned.” (Cons. 1)

We earnestly pray for their perseverance in God’s mission, which is the very source of their vocation.
