With a Eucharistic celebration presided by Mons. Stanislaw Dowlaszewicz, Auxiliary Bishop of Santa Cruz, Sunday March 15, the Holy Redeemer Parish celebrated the 23rd anniversary of its foundation. At the same time there was also the official launch of a parish mission in which the missionaries visit each house and family in the community.
The Auxiliary Bishop of Santa Cruz remarked in his homily that God wants love, not sacrifice “He calls us to reflect that everything we do must have as its purpose to love your neighbor, love is the force that drives us to do good works”.
To celebrate this anniversary of founding, the parish community of Holy Redeemer prepared the BIG MISSION bearing the motto “Christ Eucharist with us every day.” As usual in parish missions organised by the Redemptorists, preaching, the celebration of the sacraments and visits to homes, are always part of the mission.
As part of this anniversary there was the blessing of the parish hall to be used for meetings, concerts, and other pastoral activities to benefit the community. At the end of the blessing, people prayed to Our Lady of Perpetual Help to protect and guide all in the community.
