Redemptorist Missionary Vocation Directors from throughout the North American Conference – the Provinces of Yorkton, Baltimore, Edmonton-Toronto, Ste.-Anne-de-Beaupré and Denver – gathered to discuss vocations on October 6-9 at the Shrine of Ste. Anne in Quebec, Canada. Confreres offered each other support and shared their struggles, challenges and successes. Fr. Jack Kingsbury attended the meeting, offering his personal support and the interest and support of the office of North American Conference Coordinator. Mr. Tien Do was invited to share a presentation on vocations from a lay perspective.
The meeting energized all of the missionary vocation directors, who left the meeting with tremendous hope for the future. They agreed to work together to promote strong, healthy and zealous Redemptorist missionaries throughout the Conference of North America. Hopes are that all of the Provinces in the Conference of North America will be represented at the next meeting, which is already scheduled October 12-16, 2015.
The group appreciated the generosity and support of the confreres of the Ste.-Anne-de-Beaupre Province, as well as the involvement of Fr. Jack and Mr. Do, who shared their support of Redemptorist missionary vocation promotion.
