From June 22nd to the end of July, the General Government’s Fraternal Visit is taking place in the Province of Brasilia. Its goal is to involve as many confreres as possible in the Congregation’s mission. Between late June and early July, the visitors met with the communities in Sergipe, Goiás, Pernambuco, Alagoas, and Paraíba.
The General Government’s Fraternal Visit is currently taking place in the Province of Brasilia, from June 22nd to the end of July. The visit is intended to involve as many confreres as possible in the Congregation’s mission. Those in charge of the visit for the Province of Brasilia are the Vicar General, Fr. François Stanula, CSsR; the General Consultor, Fr. Gerardo Hernández, CSsR; Fr. Cristian Bueno, CSsR, Executive Secretary for Evangelization; and Fr. Piotr Chyla, CSsR, Coordinator of the European Conference.
Community of San Gerardo Maiella, Sergipe
On June 27 and 28, the Community of San Gerardo Majella, at the Parish of Our Lady of Aparecida, welcomed the General Government. The visitors—Father François Stanula and Father Cristian Bueno, accompanied by Brother Edivan José CSsR—were welcomed by the entire community. The program opened on Saturday morning with the celebration of the Liturgical Office of the Mother of Perpetual Help in the chapel.
Community of San Clemente, Goiânia
On June 30, during the meeting, each religious had the opportunity to present the work done in the Province, sharing pastoral experiences, mission challenges, and perspectives for the continuity of evangelization in the Redemptorists’ various fields of activity.

Community of San Alfonso, Goiânia
On July 1st, the General Government paid a fraternal visit to the Redemptorist Community of Sant’Alfonso in Goiânia. The visitors had the opportunity to learn about the work of the community’s brothers, also spending time in personal conversations. They also visited the Padre Pelágio Seminary in Trindade (GO).

On July 2nd, a fraternal visit took place at the Padre Pelágio Seminary in Trindade (GO), with a meeting between visitors, religious, and seminarians: a particularly rich moment of fraternity and communion.

St. Alphonsus Community, Garanhuns
Between July 1st and 3rd, the visit included a meeting between the councilors and the leaders of the religious and parish communities. The General Government’s presence during these days was an opportunity to strengthen the theme of the Redemptorist vocation and support missionary work in the city of Garanhuns.
Father Antonino Community, Arapiraca
On July 3, the Arapiraca community welcomed the Fraternal Visit in a climate of communion, dialogue, and strengthening of the evangelizing mission. The meeting brought together missionaries from the religious community and members of the parish, in moments of closeness and sharing.

Community of San Giuseppe, Custodia
The city of Custódia is located approximately 337 kilometers from the capital of Pernambuco. The visitors met with the religious community and, on July 4th, with pastoral workers from the Parish of São José. In recent days, Father Stanula and Father Cristian Bueno also visited the Redemptorist communities of Recife, Arapiraca, and Aparecida.
Father Carlos Donker Community, Campina Grande
On July 6th, Holy Mass was celebrated, followed by a very welcome presentation of the confreres; Fr. Stanula then illustrated the work carried out by the Congregation in various parts of the world. In the afternoon, the area surrounding the Parish and the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was visited. On the morning of July 7th, Mass and a Novena were held at the Shrine.
