Portraits of the new Blessed of Cuenca are available

Following the beatification of the six Redemptorist Martyrs of Cuenca on October 13, 2013 in Tarragona (Spain), it was decided, with the Redemptorist Province of Madrid, to print the portraits of the new Blessed using the same editorial criteria as in the previous editions of the drawings of the Saints and Blessed of the Congregation.

The new publication consists of a folder containing seven individual paintings, 35 x 50 centimeters [more or less 13.8 x 19.7 inches], which depict the six Martyrs as a group and individually. The drawings were done, according to the original photographic prints, by the Madrid artist, Belén del Pino Salas.

The images are introduced by four pages of Spanish text, the same size as the paintings, in which, in addition to the Redemptorist coat of arms, Fr. Antonio Manuel Quesada Montoro, vice-postulator of the Cause, briefly portrays the historical period during which the martyrdoms occurred. Then the respective biographies of the blessed, José Javier Gorosterratzu Jaunarena, Ciriaco Olarte Pérez de Mendiguren, Miguel Goñi Ariz, Julián Pozo y Ruiz de Samaniego, Victoriano (Víctor) Calvo Lozano and Pedro Romero Espejo are presented.

The price of each folder is €30 (thirty euro = more or less US$37.30), not including shipping costs. Orders can be sent to the e-mail address of the Procurator General: a.marrazzo@tiscalinet.it. Methods of payment will be indicated with the eventual shipment.
