(Rome) The XXV General Chapter had requested the preparation of a directory that would outline the profile of the lay Redemptorist in its various expressions (decision 11), that would help articulate the efforts of the Congregation towards better participation of the laity in the Redemptorist Charism. Thus, after preparatory work and coordinated consultation between the permanent Office, the General Commission for Shared Mission, the General Secretariat for Evangelization, Units, and Conferences, the General Government launches the Directory for Shared Mission to its implementation in all the units of the Congregation.
The Superior General, Fr. Michael Brehl, has expressed that this is a very important and crucial step in the journey that we are taking with the laity. Thus, begins the implementation stage, which means that each unit will now look for ways to interpret and adapt it within specific circumstances and local contexts. Concerns, comments or recommendations can be sent to the Permanent Office for Shared Mission or to the General Secretariat for Evangelization.
