The Holy Father has appointed His Excellency Msgr. Bruce Alan Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., as Bishop of Providence (USA) currently titular Bishop of Croe and Auxiliary of Baltimore (USA).

H.E. Mons. Bruce Alan Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., was born on June 8, 1967 in Toledo, Ohio, in the Diocese of the same name. He made his first profession as a Redemptorist of the Province of Baltimore on September 10, 1988. He attended Saint Alphonsus College in Suffield, Connecticut and Holy Redeemer College in Washington, completing his theological studies at the Washington Theological Union .
He was ordained a priest on May 7, 1994 for the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.
He has held the following positions: Parish Vicar of Saint Cecilia in Manhattan (1994-1996) and of Immaculate Conception in the Bronx, New York (1996-1998); Missionary at Seelos House in Vieux Fort in Saint Lucia, West Indies (1998-2000); Parish Priest of Saint Boniface (2000-2006) as well as of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (2006-2011) and Sacred Heart of Jesus in Baltimore, Maryland (2016-2020).
On June 10, 2020, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Croe and Auxiliary of Baltimore, receiving episcopal consecration on August 18.
