St. Clement and a restructuring for the mission

How can we understand and assimilate the Spirit that speaks to us from the life of St. Clement? – asks Fr. Rogério Gomes C.Ss.R. General Consultor, as he encourages us to re-read the Warsaw and Vienna Apostle’s life in today’s context. He states:

As we celebrate the 200th anniversary of Clement’s Passover, we can, in the light of his life, make an examination of conscience not to identify faults, but to have an awareness of how to continue the Redemptorist mission of announcing the Gospel and overcome weaknesses. This requires each of us to go out of ourselves, to make exodus, kenosis, to associate with other Units, confreres, lay people, Redemptorist family, to learn with other religious families, to make common projects to guarantee the quality of our mission. We cannot only wait for the future and be saddened by our difficulties. We have to set out. We have many riches to share: dreams, missionary work, cultures and the most beautiful treasure of all: the Gospel and the proclamation to the most needy. For this reason, we must not be discouraged.
