Laudate, a concert hosted which was more than just an anthem of praise and worship at the Church of Saint Alphonsus (Novena Church) on November 25th, 2023, in Singapore. The event was to raise funds for the Indonesia Redemptorist Seminary, Wisma Sang Penebus, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The seminary houses 82 students and 5 formators.
Locals and people from different continents gathered as one community for the concert. They listened to songs performed by Psalmideo Chorale, a group of Singapore-based Filipino professionals with a passion for chorale singing, and 3 Redemptorists from the Province of Indonesia, Fr. Yakobus Umbu Warata (Provincial Superior), Fr. Marianus Dapa Talu (Vicar), and Fr. Sikstus Bapa Atawolo who is attached to the Singapore community.
Laudate is more than a concert. It transcends beyond the lyrics. It is a testimony to how strength from a synergized community can bring about meaningful contributions and changes. We thank everyone who has made this fundraising concert a success.
