“Our hopes for the future are ambitious but firmly rooted in the possibilities of digital evangelisation”
1. How would you briefly describe your ministry in communications?
As Producer of Common Home TV, I focus on creating and curating engaging digital content that bridges faith and culture, bringing the Redemptorist charism to a secular world. Our ministry aims to evangelise by promoting integral ecology, human dignity, and the common good, engaging audiences through contemporary storytelling techniques and platforms. We seek to provide a space where those searching for meaning and community can encounter the Gospel in a way that resonates with their lives. By meeting people where they are, both spiritually and culturally, we strive to spark dialogue and transformation in service to the common good.
2. What are the key characteristics of the communication media you are involved in?
Common Home TV produces high-quality documentaries, podcasts, and digital stories designed to engage both secular and Church audiences. These productions are visually compelling, culturally relevant, and deeply rooted in the Redemptorist tradition of reaching the most abandoned. The Bread 4 Today prayer community enhances this mission with daily prayers and spiritual reflections delivered through apps and social media, providing accessible, faith-filled resources for people worldwide.
We are also pleased to announce that Mans Wange, CSsR, has joined our team after completing his Master’s in Media and Broadcast Production from Queen’s University in Belfast. His expertise in documentary video production and digital storytelling is a valuable addition to our mission. His skill set will enable us to expand the scope of our content, ensuring it continues to connect meaningfully with a global audience. Our communications focus not just on sharing the Gospel but also on responding to contemporary cultural contexts with authenticity and creativity, creating spaces for dialogue and transformation.
We strive to present our faith with credibility and accessibility while honouring the Church’s rich tradition of social justice and evangelisation.
3. What are your hopes for the future of your ministry?
Our hopes for the future are ambitious but firmly rooted in the possibilities of digital evangelisation. First, we aim to form strong global partnerships with individuals, organisations, and institutions that share our vision of bringing faith into dialogue with the world. By collaborating with like-minded partners, we can amplify our message and create a network of content creators working towards a common goal.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Other Redemptorist Provinces, Vice Provinces, and Units
- Redemptorist Partners in Mission
- Secular organisations striving to help heal our wounded world
Second, we are committed to engaging the emerging Church, particularly those who have grown up in secular cultures or feel disconnected from traditional Church structures. Our goal is to provide a space where these individuals can encounter the Gospel in a way that resonates with their experiences and aspirations.
Finally, we aspire to expand into larger audience spaces, including streaming platforms such as Netflix or Apple TV, and participation in film festivals with a full-length documentary. By producing content that meets the highest standards of storytelling and production, we hope to bring the message of the Gospel to global audiences in new and impactful ways. Whether through documentaries, short films, or digital series, our mission is to show that faith has the power to transform lives and contribute meaningfully to the common good.
With the recent additions to our team and a growing focus on professional partnerships, we are confident in our ability to expand the reach and impact of this vital ministry.
