The meeting of the General Commission for the Brothers was held from March 31 to April 4, 2025, in Rome. It is composed of Br. Larry Lujan, CSsR, General Consultor, representatives of the five Conferences of the Congregation, and the Vice-Secretary of the Congregation.

Present were: Brother Laurence Lujan Angel, C.Ss.R., General Consultant; Brother Eumir Samson Bautista, C.Ss.R. (Province of Canada); Brother Diego Vinicio Gomes de Almeida, C.Ss.R. (Province of Brasilia); Brother Krzysztof Makowski, C.Ss.R. (Province of Warsaw); Brother Celestine T. Cheng Leng (Vice-Province of Malaysia and Singapore); Brother Germain Rakotovao, C.Ss.R. (Vice-Province of Madagascar) and Collaborators: Brother Fernando Batista Cordeiro, C.Ss.R. (Province of Curitiba), Vice-Secretary General and Brother Marco Lucas Tomaz, C.Ss.R. (Province of Aparecida).

The meeting’s program addressed several important topics for the coming years, including preparation for the jubilee of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Saint Gerard Majella, the formation program for the brothers, and the proposed work in the area of vocational promotion for the brothers in the Congregation.
There were presentations, discussions, and moments of communal prayer. Also, in commemoration of the Jubilee Year of the Universal Church, participants made a pilgrimage to St. Peter’s Basilica and passed through the Holy Door as pilgrims of the People of God.
An even more significant experience was the 20th anniversary of the death of St. John Paul II, commemorated with a solemn Mass celebrated by Cardinal Pietro Parolin, which they attended.
