First profession and beginning of novitiate in Lubaszowa
The two most important events in the life of the Redemptorist novitiate community in Lubaszowa – the beginning of the novitiate by three postulants and the first religious profession of three novices – took place on August 14 and 15, 2025.
They were preceded by a spiritual retreat from 6 to 13 August 2025, led by Father Stanisław Paprocki CSsR and Father Andrzej Kiełbasa CSsR, for the three postulants and three novices.
On August 14, the postulant brothers began their canonical novitiate. This took place during the solemn first evening service on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, presided over by Father Dariusz Paszyński, CSsR, superior of the Redemptorist Province of Warsaw. In his address to the brothers, he emphasized, among other things, the need for the brothers beginning their novitiate to undertake zealous and persevering work on themselves (spiritually and humanly), following the example of Saint Alphonsus, our Founder.
On August 15, during the 9:00 a.m. Holy Mass in the novitiate chapel, three novices pronounced their first religious vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience in the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, before Father Mariusz Mazurkiewicz CSsR, vice superior of the Redemptorist Province of Warsaw.
In his homily, Father Mariusz spoke of the example of the Assumption, which shows us the purpose of our life—that is, heaven, toward which we are on a pilgrimage here on earth. He also emphasized the need to develop a personal relationship with Our Lady and deepen our Marian devotion, which allows us to persevere on the path of our religious vocation. The motivation for a life faithful to the religious vows of obedience, chastity, and poverty should be obedience and love for Christ, who first chose us and called us to speak of Him to others and to bear witness to the Gospel with our entire lives.
We congratulate both groups of young men who wish to dedicate their entire lives to Christ in the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer. We ask for prayers for them and for new priestly and religious vocations.

Perpetual profession in Krakow
Two students of the Redemptorist Major Seminary, Kacper Grabowski and Stanisław Stańczyk, pronounced their perpetual vows in our religious congregation on August 15, 2025. On the same day, eight students and one religious brother renewed their temporary religious vows.
August 15, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a very special and solemn day for our religious congregation in Poland. The Redemptorist Province of Warsaw has been strengthened on this day in the service of the Church thanks to the courageous decisions of its young members, who are completing their basic formation, eager to follow Christ the Redeemer in life according to the vocation of the spiritual children of Saint Alphonsus Maria de’ Liguori, choosing the path of the evangelical counsels: chastity, poverty, and obedience.
Eight cleric brothers from the Redemptorist Major Seminary in Krakow: the brothers after a year of pastoral practice – Jakub, Bartłomiej, and Tomasz; Brother Krystian (after the fourth year); Brothers Patryk, Szymon, and Karol (after the third year); and Brother Piotr (after the second year); as well as Brother Patryk, a junior brother, renewed their religious vows in our Congregation for another year. The renewal of temporary vows took place during a solemn morning prayer in the seminary, in the presence of Provincial Dariusz Paszyński, CSsR.
At noon, during the solemn Eucharist in the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Krakow, in the Podgórze district, near our seminary, two brothers in their fifth year of studies: Kacper Grabowski and Stanisław Stańczyk, pronounced their permanent religious vows in our Congregation.
The Provincial said in his homily that this act of total dedication to Christ in religious life testifies to the power of the awareness that, following the example of Saint Alphonsus, every man should awaken within himself every day. It is the awareness of the vocation and ultimate destiny of human existence: to reach heaven, where the Blessed Virgin Mary was assumed body and soul. The purpose of every life is heaven.
Praise be to the Lord because in the Congregation of the Redemptorists there are vocations who dedicate themselves to service in the world in order to be able to announce, as religious and missionaries, the immense grace of the Savior and to enjoy forever the joy of meeting all the saints and blessed brothers!
