Novices from Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Venezuela conclude their preparatory formation for perpetual vows with a celebration presided over by Fr. Thierry Raphael, C.Ss.R.
The formation program for the confreres of the Conference of Redemptorists of Latin America and the Caribbean, held in Cotuí, Dominican Republic, concluded on Friday, February 13, 2026. This stage, which began on January 5, brought together 21 young religious for six weeks of preparation for perpetual vows, the moment in which they will express their definitive “yes” to God’s call to the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.
The formation concluded with a solemn Mass, presided over by the Provincial Superior of the Province of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Fr. Thierry Raphael, C.Ss.R. During the course, the novices were accompanied by Fr. Carlos Pérez, C.Ss.R. (Province of Pedro Donders), coordinator of the activities, Fr. Ramón Cabrera, C.Ss.R. and Fr. Pierre Jeune, C.Ss.R. (both of the Province of Our Lady of Perpetual Help).
The celebration had a fraternal character, bringing together participants and formators in a moment of thanksgiving for the shared journey. At the end of this phase of preparation, the young people return to their communities, ready to definitively consecrate themselves to God as Redemptorists.
