The meeting between the Provincial Council, the Secretaries, and the Coordinators of the Commissions of the Europe South Province concluded. The central theme of the meeting was the desire to work as a single missionary body to face the challenges of the present.
GRANADA – On March 17, the Redemptorist community of Granada hosted an important meeting for the future of the Europe South Province. The Extraordinary Provincial Council met with the Secretaries and Coordinators of the Commissions for an in-depth dialogue aimed at implementing the mandate of the first Provincial Chapter.
The meeting was not just an administrative act, but a true exercise in fraternity and dialogue, aimed at envisioning the mission of the Province in the years to come.
Towards a Single “Missionary Body”
The central theme of the dialogue was the vision of the Province as a unified body. The Council reiterated the need to overcome internal fragmentation and function as a single Missionary Body. The objective is clear: to ensure that each secretariat and commission synergistically invigorates apostolic life, placing at the center the proclamation of the Good News and care for the poorest, pillars of the Alphonsian charism.
“We want to revitalize the Redemptorist identity through the distribution of resources and a mission lived alongside the laity,” as emerged during the discussions.

Despite the physiological challenges inherent in a young and extensive Province, those present reaffirmed their fidelity to the charism of St. Alphonsus and to the directives of the Provincial Chapter. The message emanating from Granada is one of hope: there is a shared commitment to the renewal of the Redemptorist identity that speaks to contemporary humanity.
Special thanks were given to the community of Granada, whose hospitality allowed the work to take place in a peaceful environment, and to all those present for their dedication to the service of the Province.
