The community of the Church of St. Alphonsus will gather in a spirit of prayer and celebration for the annual Triduum in honor of St. Clement Maria Hofbauer, preparing for his feast day with reflection on his life, mission, and witness. The triduum will begin from 12 to 14 March, culminating in the Feast Day on 15 March 2026.
This year’s celebration carries a special significance as it coincides with the inauguration of the Year dedicated to Leadership at the service of the Mission of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.
Triduum Celebrations in the Church of St. Alphonsus
The triduum will be preached by the Silver Jubilarians of profession of the Community: Fr. Sanjay Tirkey, C.Ss.R., Fr. Sanjay Vincent, C.Ss.R., and Fr. Paul Vinh, C.Ss.R., General Consultor. Their reflections will invite the faithful to contemplate the life of St. Clement Maria Hofbauer and his example of missionary leadership. On the third day of the triduum, the Eucharistic celebration will be presided over by Fr. Ivel Mendanha, C.Ss.R., General Consultor.

Feast Day Celebration
The Feast of St. Clement Maria Hofbauer will be celebrated on 15 March 2026 with a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Rogério Gomes, C.Ss.R., Superior General. During this celebration, Fr. Rogério Gomes will officially inaugurate the Year dedicated to Leadership at the service of the Mission of the Congregation, inviting Redemptorists and collaborators to renew their commitment to leadership rooted in service, faith, and missionary zeal. The reflection for the feast day will focus on: “St. Clement Mary Hofbauer: An Inspiration – The Apostle, A Mystic in Action.”
Online Triduum
For those unable to attend in person, the Triduum reflections will be available online through the YouTube channel of Scala News in English and Spanish languages, presented by Fr. Ivel Mendanha, C.Ss.R., and Fr. Edward Chacón, CSsR. Viewers will be able to follow the reflections and participate spiritually in the celebration.
Throughout the triduum confreres will share reflections connecting the life and spirituality of St. Clement with the theme of leadership in the Redemptorist tradition. His talks will highlight how authentic leadership emerges from service, fidelity to the mission, and openness to God’s call.

Day One: St. Clement Maria Hofbauer: A True Servant Leader in the Style of Jesus- Reflection on humility, servanthood, compassion, and love.
Today on the first day of the Triduum for the feast of St Clement Hofbauer we reflect on St Clement as a leader after the example of Jesus the Servant Leader. This year in our Redemptorist Congregation beginning from this month of March we will be reflecting on the theme of leadership for mission. It is opportune therefore to turn to St Clement who was truly an exceptional leader in the style of Jesus himself.
Day Two: St. Clement Maria Hofbauer: A True Servant Leader in the Style of Jesus – Meditation on integrity, faithfulness, and selflessness in mission.
Day Three: St. Clement Maria Hofbauer: A True Servant Leader in the Style of Jesus – Contemplating the call to embrace the cross of suffering in missionary life.
Feast Day: St Clement – an Inspiration. The Apostle, A Mystic in Action
On this day when we celebrate the feast of Saint Clement Mary Hofbauer (1751–1820), we begin the year dedicated to leadership in service of the mission. Certain aspects of his life shed light on this important ministry of animating our Redemptorist apostolic life. Hofbauer was a missionary leader marked by evangelical courage, creative fidelity to the Redemptorist charism, and deep trust in God’s action in history.
