On May 30, 2026, Kacper Grabowski CSsR of Elbląg and Stanisław Stańczyk CSsR of Gliwice were ordained priests at the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Krakow.
The sacrament of ordination was conferred by Bishop Jacek Kiciński, CMF, Auxiliary Bishop of Wrocław. During his homily, the bishop emphasized the importance of this gift, both for the faithful and for the Church, and drew attention to the need for our participation in the three dimensions of vocation: persevering in the love of Jesus, keeping His commandments, and loving one another to the point of giving our lives for others. For him, this is the key to every vocation, be it priestly, religious, or, more generally, Christian.
The celebrations were attended by the numerous relatives of Fr. Stanisław and Fr. Kacper, Redemptorist fathers and brothers from all over Poland and abroad, our formation communities (including the novice brothers), a large group of friends, and our parishioners. A splendid musical backdrop to the celebration was provided by the “Symfonia” Choir from Podgórze, directed by our organist Józef Łukasz, and the “Za Tobą” musical group from Głogów, led by Mrs. Karolina Kaczyńska.
Father Dariusz Paszyński, CSsR, superior of the Warsaw Province of the Redemptorists, also addressed the newly ordained priests, encouraging them to zealous service, following the example of St. Alphonsus. The Provincial also recalled an exceptional event that occurred after the first Mass celebrated by our Founder, when one of the young men who had attended desired to become a priest himself.
These significant events are for us, on the one hand, a source of great joy and gratitude to God for the gift of Stanisław and Kacper’s priesthood, which culminates a nine-year journey of initial formation. On the other hand, they are also a source of inspiration and encouragement to continue praying perseveringly for new priestly and religious vocations, so that there will be no shortage of those who will bring hope to the poor: the good news of the abundant Redemption found in Jesus Christ.
Br. Jan Gawroński, CSsR.
