The National Gathering of Redemptorist Adolescents (ENAR) brought together young people from different Redemptorist communities across Argentina for a weekend from 15th August onwards of faith, fellowship, and missionary formation in the Province of Peter Donders.
Under the theme, “From the Tree to the Road, Jesus Calls Me to Be a Witness,” the gathering invited participants to reflect on their Christian vocation through the Gospel story of Zacchaeus. Inspired by Zacchaeus’ encounter with Jesus, the adolescents were encouraged to recognize themselves as beloved children of God and to respond generously to Christ’s call to become witnesses of His love in their families, schools, parishes, and communities.
The first day focused on prayer, reflection, and community-building. Through moments of contemplation, participants learned to “pray with their eyes and with love,” discovering God’s presence in one another and in the experiences they shared. Guided by the Gospel passage of Zacchaeus, they reflected on personal conversion and the invitation to follow Jesus more closely.
The second day was marked by a vibrant atmosphere of joy and encounter. Music, prayer, animation, silence, nature, group discussions, and shared experiences created a rich environment where the young people could deepen their faith and strengthen friendships. The gathering highlighted the beauty of community life and the importance of listening to God’s voice through both moments of celebration and quiet reflection.
Throughout the weekend, the participants experienced the unique spirit of the Redemptorist family, growing in their awareness that they are called not only to receive God’s love but also to share it with others. The meeting became a powerful reminder that every encounter with Christ leads to mission and that young people have an important role in the life and evangelizing mission of the Church.
The organizers expressed gratitude for the prayers and support received during the gathering and entrusted all the participants to the loving care of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. As the adolescents return to their communities, they carry with them renewed faith, new friendships, and a deeper commitment to being witnesses of Christ in the world.
