On Saturday, August 29th, the XIX National Meeting of Altar Servers took place in the Stage of the Santísimo Redentor School in Asunción (Paraguay).
Around 400 children gathered from 7:00 a.m. to experience a day filled with joy, faith, and inclusion. The gathering began with the celebration of Holy Mass presided over by the Provincial Superior, Fr. Javier Machado CSsR, and concelebrated by several Redemptorist missionaries.
The meeting was attended by altar servers from various parishes in Paraguay, led by Redemptorists, as well as some invited parishes. After Holy Mass and a mid-morning session, a talk was given on the life of Saint Gerard.
Afterwards, there was an educational and recreational activity consisting of a quiz on topics related to the Eucharist and Redemptorist spirituality. Following lunch, a sports competition took place throughout the afternoon, in which the children participated with great enthusiasm. The gathering concluded at 5:30 p.m. after the closing prayer.
