Three young Redemptorists from the Province of Bratislava – Prague made their profession on 15th of August in Podolínec in the Redemptorist church of St. Stanislav.  Stanislav Marcin and Juraj Džama made their first profession and Fr. Jozef Novák Jr. made his final profession. Many Redemptorists took part in this solemn occasion. Members of the Bratislava – Prague Province, some confreres from the Michalovce Vice-Province and the Warsaw Province and also some diocesan clergy and religious brothers and sisters of various orders also were present on the occasion.

Fr. Provincial, Václav Hypius reminded all those present “that vocation is a gift. It is not to be taken for granted. There are many parts of Europe where a religious profession has not been celebrated for many years.” “We should be grateful for the generosity of God and those who have heard and responded to the call.”

Fr. Hypius recalled the founder of the Redemptorists, Saint Alphonsus: “It was his zeal that gave birth to the Congregation. It was the fire in his heart that led him to seek out the neglected and abandoned, to write, to preach, to paint and to compose songs. It is our faithfulness to our charism to preach the Gospel that will give birth to new vocations. May he always inspire us to respond generously to the generous God who leads us to touch the wounds of this world.”
