(Asunción, Paraguay) The Solemn Eucharistic celebration was held with the Diaconate Ordination of the two of our brothers: Javier Antonio Morel, C.Ss.R. and José Luis Caballero C.Ss.R. on Sunday 3 March at 7:30 pm at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Asunción, with the slogan: “We have recognized the love that God has for us and we have believed in him” (1 Jn 4:16).
The celebration was presided over by Mons Edmundo Valenzuela Mellid, SDB. Archbishop of Assumption, concelebrated by Rev. Father Osvaldo Duarte Ramírez C.Ss.R. of the Redemptorist Missionaries in Paraguay and several other Redemptorist missionaries, priests and religious, of other congregations; the family and friends who came from all over the country to witness the historic moment of the diaconate of the two Redemptorist missionaries who follow the path of witnessing to the Redeemer, who stand together in the mission in a wounded world. We want to share this joy of Redemptorist missionaries with the whole Church, and we ask everyone to remain steadfast in prayer to ask the Lord to send workers into his vineyard.
