(Piura, Peru) The Catholic faithful of Piura, especially the devotees of the Blessed Mother of Perpetual Help will have the opportunity to venerate the sacred image that travels the whole world carrying its blessing under the supervision of the Redemptorist Missionaries. The replica of the icon of the Virgin of Perpetual Help was blessed in 2016 by Pope Francis and since then, this sacred image has been taken to various countries around the world.
This sacred image that currently travels in Latin America and the Caribbean and that is currently in the country of Ecuador, will arrive in Peru, next Thursday, November 30.

The third phase (missionary) begins immediately after the party on June 27, 2016. The theme of this phase is ‘Renewal of the mission and the mandate to “make her known”‘.
These icons that were blessed by Francis and commissioned by the Superior General will go to each conference. Each Conference, and the units of the Conference will make sure that the icon will visit the various communities and sanctuaries so that everyone will have the experience of Mary, who visits her pilgrim people. The challenge will be to strengthen our mission, particularly through the icon as an instrument of Evangelization. It will be the expression and renewal of our commitment to the original mandate of Pope Pius IX to “make her known.”
