(Carrefour-Feuilles, Haiti) – On November 9, 2019, that marks the 287 years of the foundation of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer by St. Alphonsus María de Liguori, we solemnly celebrate the 90 years of official presence of the Redemptorists in the Carrefour-Feuilles and the perpetual vows of the juniors Paulin Louis, C.Ss.R. and Ketler Jean-Juste, C.Ss.R. Father Pétuel Gérard, C.Ss.R., Superior of the Region, presided over the celebrations that brought together many confreres and faithful, as an expression of gratitude for the history of the Redemptorists in the Carrefour-Feuilles, marked by the vitality of the Congregation’s charism.

This jubilee celebration let us recall the road we made from 1929 to today. Therefore, we thank the Lord for the life of so many Belgian and Canadian confreres who gave their lives to evangelize Haiti and establish the Congregation in the country.

For the celebration of the 90th anniversary of our presence in San Gerardo, other initiatives have been implemented on the spot, which in the coming months will give us an opportunity to praise the Lord and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

We ask our founding father, St. Alphonsus and our Mother of Perpetual Help, to bless and continue to care for our Congregation and our mission in Haiti.

Fr. Renold ANTOINE, C.Ss.R.
Regional Secretary
