Paraguay Province hosts the Second Redemptorist Novitiate of Latin America. Osvaldo Duarte and concelebrated by Father Carlos Pérez (Chile) master and his associates: Father Ronaldo (Manaus) and Father Jose Dolores (Paraguay). It is a time of preparation for the profession of Perpetual Vows.

The gathering takes place in the Marianela retreat house in Atyrá, Paraguay. The participants are 30 young people from different Redemptorist provinces from Latin America. Carlos Pérez (Chile) accompanied us in this first week, guiding our reflection on the human dimension of the vocation, covering affectivity and sexuality in religious life. Each confrere had a space to deepen self-knowledge to give a free response to the following of Christ the Redeemer. We also enjoyed fraternal sharing and getting to know each other as members of the Redemptorist family in Latin America.

The Second Novitiate, which will last until February 18, is a particular time for all those who want to say their “yes” to God in a definitive way in our Congregation. It is an experience that allows us to sum up the formative journey and, at the same time, it will enable us to dream and project our apostolic life in the context of ongoing formation.

During these weeks, we are assisted by several confreres who will share with us their experiences, showing us ways to live our missionary work well and with quality. We ask everyone to give us support in this time by your prayers.
