Last Sunday, November 23, a temporary exhibition entitled “Missionary, Bearer of Hope” was inaugurated at the Shrine of Our Lady, Star of Evangelization and Saint John Paul II in Toruń. It is dedicated to the life and work of the Polish Redemptorist, Venerable Servant of God, Father Bernard Łubieński. It will be open to pilgrims for the next three months.

This is an important event, as a community of people near the Shrine prays for the miracle necessary for the beatification of Father Bernard, whose heroic virtues were approved by Pope Francis in March 2018. Every 10th of the month, after Mass, a prayer for beatification is recited, and after evening Mass, the community holds its formation meeting.

Redemptorists often speak to the faithful about Father Bernard Łubieński, who is becoming increasingly well-known in our community, thanks in part to the images distributed with prayers for his miracle and beatification. We are pleased to note that some families regularly order Masses for their sick, praying for the miracle of healing through the intercession of the venerable servant of God.

We hope that the exhibition in our sanctuary will help spread the knowledge of Father Łubieński among pilgrims.
