On Saturday, August 22, nine lay people committed to the Redemptorist charism and spirituality participated during the Eucharistic celebration at the Redemptorist community of Salta, Argentina, which belongs to the Buenos Aires Region of the Pedro Donders Province. During the Mass, four of them made their first commitment as Lay Missionaries of the Most Holy Redeemer for a period of one year, while the other five renewed their commitment for an additional two years.

Among the many expressions of Shared Mission, the Lay Missionary of the Most Holy Redeemer recognizes that his or her vocation, born from the grace of Baptism, leads to a special bond with the Congregation. Through this commitment, lay missionaries fully express their collaboration and participation in the apostolic life and mission of the Redemptorists.

We pray that those who have made their first commitment and those who have renewed it may continue, as genuine followers of St. Alphonsus, to walk in the footsteps of Christ the Redeemer. May they participate in His mission with the spirit and fragrance of the Kingdom of God, proclaiming it through the evangelical simplicity of their lives and their words.
