From November 10 to 12, 2025, the assembly of Redemptorists took place in Badín, Slovakia, in view of the future union in the new Province of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Thirty-five confreres from the Bratislava-Prague Province and the Vice-Province of Michalovce participated in the meeting.

The assembly included moments of work and discussion dedicated to drafting the statutes of the new Province. The Provincial Superior, Fr. Jozef Mihok CSsR, opened the proceedings with a report on the current situation of the Bratislava-Prague Province. Following this, the Vice-Provincial Superior, Fr. Miroslav Bujdoš CSsR, presented the state of the Vice-Province of Michalovce.

At the beginning of the year, the two units established a joint commission to draft the statutes, composed of two representatives from each unit. Throughout the year, the commission worked on the draft document, which was examined article by article during the assembly, offering all participants the opportunity to comment and add to the content.

This meeting, which saw the collaboration between Redemptorists of two Catholic rites—Roman Catholic and Greek Catholic—represents a tangible sign of the openness of the Czech and Slovak Redemptorists to the challenges and new signs of the times, in obedience to the Church and the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.

Fr. Miroslav Bujdoš, CSsR.
