On November 6th, as part of the commemoration of the Redemptorist Martyrs of Cuenca and Madrid, the Parish of the Most Holy Redeemer in Bogotá hosted a significant celebration for the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer. During a solemn Eucharist, fourteen young professed Redemptorists renewed their temporary vows, joyfully reaffirming their commitment to Christ the Redeemer in missionary life.
During the same celebration, six of them received the Ministry of Lector and three the Ministry of Acolyte, important steps in their formation process and on their path to definitive consecration. These ministries, entrusted by the Church, express the spiritual maturity and pastoral commitment of those who continue their discernment in following Christ in the style of Saint Alphonsus Liguori.
The celebration was presided over by Father Mauricio Monroy Cáceres, C.Ss.R., Provincial of the Andean Caribbean Province, who invited the young people to live their vocation with joy, fidelity, and a spirit of service.
Father Samuel Torres (Rector of St. Alphonsus Major Seminary), Father Alirio Suárez (Prefect of Postulants), Father Óscar Tarazona (Provincial Secretary), Father Óscar Martínez, and Father Bernardo Ospina (Parish Priest of St. Ezekiel Moreno), along with the seminary community and other faithful present, participated in the ceremony. In an atmosphere of gratitude and hope, the Redemptorist community celebrated this testament of faith and perseverance, inspired by the example of the martyrs who gave their lives for the Gospel.
