Ongoing formation is essential for our journey as Religious. In this spirit, the Vice Province organized a Young Priests’ Seminar on 15–16 December 2025 at the Pedro Arrupe Institute, Raia, Goa. Fifteen young confreres participated in this enriching programme. The seminar was animated by Fr. Edward Joseph, CSsR., the Provincial of the Bangalore Province.
Fr. Edward led the sessions around three key themes:
- Mission in the Present World
- Community: A School of Love
- From Disillusionment to Deep Fidelity
Through these themes, he invited the participants to celebrate their Redemptorist vocation amid the challenges of contemporary life and ministry. The seminar encouraged personal introspection, open sharing, and mutual enrichment. It provided a valuable space for the young confreres to share their joys and struggles and to seek meaningful ways of living and celebrating their calling with renewed enthusiasm. As the confreres recalled their seminary days, the gathering strengthened fraternal bond and offered a joyful experience of community life.
Fr Henry Fernandes, CSsR., the Vice Provincial, expressed his appreciation to the young confreres for their exemplary witness and dedication to ministry. He exhorted them to continue growing in spirituality, optimism fidelity to their vocation and loyalty to the Congregation. Rekindled in hope, the confreres are inspired to renew their zeal for mission, reaching out to God’s people as missionaries of hope in the footsteps of our Redeemer.
