A team of technicians from the Redemptorist Foundation for People with Disabilities travelled to the southern region to respond to the severe flooding that affected many communities from 3rd to 9th of December 2025, particularly in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province. With their expertise in electronic and electrical repair, the team aimed to provide immediate, practical assistance to households whose appliances and electrical systems were damaged by the floodwaters.

Originally, the mission was planned to take place in Hat Yai District. However, upon arrival, the team discovered that essential utilities in the area—including water, electricity, and internet services—were still not functioning. Without these basic services, establishing a repair centre would not be feasible.

In response, the team relocated their operations to Wat Khlong Khut in Khao Chaison District, Phatthalung Province, where the situation allowed them to set up a temporary service point. From this base, the technicians repaired a wide range of flood-damaged electrical appliances and conducted safety inspections and improvements of home electrical systems. Their efforts helped vulnerable families regain access to safe electricity, reducing both risk and hardship as they begin to recover from the disaster.

The collaboration between the Redemptorist Foundation for People with Disabilities and all our supporters and partners has made this relief mission possible. Their generosity and solidarity empower the Foundation to continue serving communities in times of need, bringing hope and practical assistance to those most affected.
