We publish a testimony received from the first meeting of formandi, which took place from 15 to 19 December 2025 in the city of Resistencia (Argentina).
I would like to briefly share the experience of this meeting: It was a time of grace and fraternity, in which the two formation houses of our province participated: the house in Paraguay (postulancy), located in Asunción, and the house in Argentina (studentate), located in La Plata, Buenos Aires.
Our formators, Fathers Gustavo and Charlie, accompanied us. During those days, we experienced very meaningful moments:
– We had formation talks, which offered us tools to deepen our vocation, reflect on our mission, and grow humanly and spiritually.
– The daily celebration of the Eucharist, the centre of our Christian and Redemptorist life, helped us to strengthen our communion with one another.
– We visited the Basilica of Itatí, a deeply Marian place that allowed us to renew our trust in the Virgin Mary and place our vocational and community journey under her protection. It was a moment of recollection, prayer, and gratitude.
– We also had the joy of sharing with other priests from the community of resistance.
– We also shared with Federico and Gonzalo, the priests responsible for youth ministry, and Father Jorge, from vocational ministry.
After our meeting, the formands from Argentina accompanied the end-of-year vocational retreat.
This meeting not only allowed us to form ourselves, but also to strengthen fraternal bonds, share experiences, and renew our enthusiasm for the Redemptorist charism. We return enriched, with grateful hearts and the desire to continue walking together in the service of God’s people.
