Jeevanodhaya (Redemptorist Community), hosted a meaningful gathering on the evening of 16 February to celebrate the gift of Consecrated Life. The programme brought together the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel, the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo, the Redemptorist community, along with Rev. Fr. Anthappa, the Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Church, Nanjangudu. As the first gathering of this kind, the celebration was both historic and encouraging for all present.
The event began with a solemn Thanksgiving Adoration led by the Apostolic Carmel Sisters. The prayer service created a reflective atmosphere and invited everyone to thank God for the vocation to consecrated life and the shared mission of serving the Church. The final blessing was given by Rev. Fr. Anthappa, whose initiative helped make this gathering possible.
After the prayer service, the participants shared a fellowship meal prepared jointly by the Redemptorist community and the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo. The meal provided an opportunity for interaction and helped strengthen the bonds of unity and friendship among the religious communities serving in the area.
The evening continued with simple and joyful games organized by the Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo. The activities filled the house with laughter and added a spirit of togetherness to the celebration.
The programme concluded with the singing of the Salve Regina, entrusting all the religious communities and their ministries to the loving care of Mother Mary.
Special thanks were expressed to Rev. Fr. Anthappa for his initiative and to Rev. Fr. Robin, the Superior of the Redemptorist community, for the arrangements. The gathering ended on a joyful note, leaving participants with a renewed sense of unity, gratitude, and commitment to their mission in the Church.
