On Monday, February 9, 2026, a meeting of Redemptorist Educational Institutions was held at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Asunción. Participants were the administrative, teaching, and support staff. The meeting served to strengthen the institutions’ objectives, reflections on Redemptorist spirituality, and to encourage educational ministry. The coordination of Redemptorist Educational Ministry in Paraguay is led by Father Osvaldo Duarte, CSsR.

In Paraguay, there are 13 educational institutions run by the Redemptorist Missionaries in different parts of the country:

  • Bella Vista Norte: San José School and San José College;
  • Pedro Juan Caballero: Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and Rosenstiel College;
  • Asunción: Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, St. Clement Mary Hofbauer College, Most Holy Redeemer School, Most Holy Redeemer College, St. Alphonsus School, St. Alphonsus College, St. Anne School and Our Lady of Sorrows School;
  • Carapeguá: St. Alphonsus College.

Our educational institutions are affiliated with Redemptorist parishes. The academic year begins in February and ends in December. The Redemptorist Missionaries in Paraguay find in education a privileged way to proclaim the Gospel through spiritual accompaniment of teachers, children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.

We pray to God that he will accompany us with his blessing in this Year of the Common Good 2026 with the motto: “You yourselves give them something to eat” (Mt 14, 16).

Fr. César Báez, CSsR.
