For five weeks, Redemptorist missionaries preached in 14 parishes across ten dioceses, bringing spiritual renewal and conversion to Catholic communities from Hanoi in the north to Can Tho in the south. The Province gratefully trusts that the seeds sown during this Lent will bear lasting fruit of conversion, unity, and love.

Lent is a time of conversion for sinners, a path of inner renewal that helps the faithful grow in closer union with God and prepare their hearts to celebrate the great feast of Easter. Therefore, parish missions during Lent are especially appropriate and meaningful in helping people change and persevere in the grace of the Risen Jesus Christ.

Parish missions are a special time of grace that God grants so that people can recognize and respond to His love. They also provide a propitious opportunity for many to return to God through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, helping sinners to recognize the evil of grave sin and its terrible consequences, so that they can return to God through the sacraments, and strengthening faith when spiritual blindness and hardness of heart take hold.

“Let us give thanks to God because during this holy time of Lent, the entire Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, in a spirit of unity, has generously fulfilled its missionary mandate, organizing numerous missions so that people may receive the abundance of God’s grace.”

“Let us give thanks to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Patroness of Missionary Week, who has gone before us guiding missionaries to every family and awakening in the faithful a joyful willingness to participate in Missionary Week, so that the grace of the missions may bear fruit.”

With this spirit, we give thanks to God for the love and trust He has placed in the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, continually allowing the missionary work to grow and bear fruit throughout the country, from north to south.

May the Lord continue to bless, so that the seeds of his Word sown during this Lent may take deep root in the hearts of the faithful, grow in their life of faith, and bear lasting fruits of conversion, unity, and love.

May Our Lady of Perpetual Help continue to accompany and intercede for us, so that each Parish Mission may not be a mere passing event, but the beginning of a new life in Christ.

And that, after these days of grace, each faithful person may return home not only with memories, but also with the firm resolve to renew their life, remain faithful to God, and bear witness to the Gospel in today’s world.
