On August 10, 2026, the Redemptorist Vice-Province of Manila joyfully celebrated the Perpetual Profession of Religious Vows of three of its dear brothers: Bro. Jhon Mark E. Aves, C.Ss.R.; Bro. Emmanuel A. De Guzman, C.Ss.R.; and Bro. Melandro S. Pera, Jr., C.Ss.R.
The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Raymond R. Urriza, CSsR., the Vice-Provincial Superior of Manila and concelebrated by the Confreres present. The celebration marked a significant moment in the lives of the three brothers, as they freely and definitively committed themselves to Christ through the profession of the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, and obedience. Their perpetual vows expressed their desire to belong entirely to God and to dedicate their lives to the mission of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.
The Redemptorist Vice-Province of Manila gratefully celebrated this precious gift of their lifelong “yes” to Christ and His mission. Their commitment is a beautiful witness of faith, perseverance, generosity, and self-offering, reminding the Redemptorist family that vocation is a daily response to God’s call and an invitation to serve His people with a generous heart.
The celebration took place amid the rain, which became a fitting reminder that God’s grace continues to pour abundantly upon those who entrust themselves to Him. Despite the weather, the joy of the community remained undiminished as confreres, family members, friends, and the faithful gathered to accompany the newly professed brothers on this important step in their consecrated lives.
Their Perpetual Profession is not simply the conclusion of a period of formation but the beginning of a deeper and lifelong commitment to follow the Redeemer and participate in His mission. As Redemptorists, they are called to proclaim the abundant redemption of Christ, especially to the poor and most abandoned.
The Redemptorist community joins in giving thanks to God for the vocation and generous response of these three brothers. We pray that their “yes” may continue to grow in fidelity, courage, and joy throughout their lives.
Congratulations and best wishes to dear Brothers Jhon Mark, Emmanuel, and Melandro! May the Most Holy Redeemer strengthen their vocation, sustain them in moments of challenges, and make their lives a joyful witness to the Gospel. May Our Mother of Perpetual Help accompany them always as they continue the journey of consecration and mission.
