(Missouri, USA) Novice Sr. Mary Louisa Olmo will profess vows as a Redemptoristine Nun on Saturday, June 9, the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the Redemptoristine Monastery in Missouri. The Redemptoristines are planning an afternoon Mass and a reception afterward at the monastery in Liguori. Sr. Mary Louisa Olmo is originally from the Philippines. She immigrated to the United States and worked as a nurse for many years before she joined the community as a postulant in 2016. She took the name Sr. Mary Louisa of the Immaculate Heart of Mary when she became a novice on June 4, 2016. “A vocation is always God’s gift, but it is a big choice,” said Sr. Ann Marie, Novice Mistress. “We hope that the Redemptorists will join us to celebrate the newest member of our community.”
