On 30 November, two Redemptorist missionaries from Vietnam, Jean Nguyen and Jean Baptiste from the Province of Southern Europe, were ordained deacons. The Archbishop of Strasbourg, Mgr Pascal Delannoy, presided over the celebration.
It was a celebration full of sentiment and emotion that underlines the vocational hope for Europe and for Redemptorists amid the difficulty of commitment in today’s young generation.
The Provincial of Southern Europe, Fr. Gennaro Sorrentino, as well as Redemptorists from different parts of the world, witnessed this gift of love and commitment to God and the Church so that they could continue announcing the abundant redemption to a world in need of God and his proposal of his Kingdom.
We wish these confreres a fruitful ministry and, without doubt, a joy for the Congregation of the Redemptorist Missionaries.
