February 26, 2025, marked a significant milestone for the novices of Stanggassinger House in Ghana. The Redemptorist Vice Provinces of Nigeria and West Africa are delighted with the progress made by these eight young men: BAMFO Emmanuel, BIWANO Jacques, HOUNKPETIN Houenou Romuald, KIEMA Casimir, KIEMA Jean Michel Izak, KUILAFAA Eric, MILLOGO Emile, and MOADA Hubert. They received the Redemptorist habit during a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Paul LUU QUANG BAO VINH, from the General Council, who was on a canonical visit with Father Noël SOTTIMA, Coordinator of Redemptorists in Africa and Madagascar.
Indeed, the novices, coming from diverse backgrounds and cultures, have been called to serve the most abandoned and marginalized communities. By receiving the Redemptorist habit, they publicly declared their commitment to embracing the Congregation’s charism, following the example of St. Alphonsus Liguori, the founder.
We congratulate our eight novices and pray for their perseverance and growth in their Redemptorist vocation. May they be inspired by the example of Redemptorist saints, blessed, and martyrs to become true witnesses of the Redeemer’s love and mercy.
