The Women’s Seminar for Pastoral Area 2 of the Chiang Mai Diocese was held from March 14–16, 2025, at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Din Khao—one of the three main Redemptorist parishes in this mountainous mission area—and at St. Joseph Mae Chaem School, in Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province.

The seminar gathered around 1,000 women from various hill tribe villages, united under the theme: “Women Walking Together Towards the Holy Year with Hope.” The purpose of the seminar was to deepen the understanding of the 2025 Jubilee Holy Year and to reflect on how women can restore their lives in a closer relationship with God, live with renewed hope, and become beacons of hope for their families, communities, society, and the Church.

Participants engaged in group discussions, sharing sessions, and teachings focused on the meaning of the Holy Year, the current social realities women face, and strategies for resilience in the midst of challenges. The seminar encouraged women to come together, exchange experiences, study their community contexts, and explore ways to prevent and respond to the various dangers and pressures women face in today’s world.

The gathering also emphasized the importance of planning for the future together and moving forward into the Holy Year with hope, faith, and solidarity. With Jesus as the anchor of their hearts and His Word as their guiding light, the women were encouraged to see themselves as seeds of faith and culture, passing on values and serving as witnesses of hope in their families, communities, society, and the Church. As Scripture reminds us, “This hope does not disappoint us” (Romans 5:5).

The Redemptorists of the Province of Thailand continually acknowledge, support, and empower women, recognizing the significant role they play in the life of the community and the Church. Their presence, faith, and leadership are vital in building a hopeful and faithful future for all.
