From April 23 to 26, 2025, the serene highlands of Baan Mong Luang in Mae Chaem have come alive with the vibrant energy of around 500 young people gathering for the Youth Camp of District 2, Chiang Mai Diocese. Nestled in a region under the pastoral care of our confreres from the Chiang Mai Community, this four-day camp has become a powerful witness to the faith, joy, and resilience of the young generation.
The theme, “Pilgrims of Hope,” invites participants to reflect on their faith journey and discover how they can be beacons of light and hope in their communities. Throughout the camp, young people from various parishes and villages engage in a rich tapestry of spiritual, cultural, and recreational activities designed to inspire growth, solidarity, and deeper discipleship.
The Chiang Mai Community has played a leading role in the event’s preparation and coordination, working hand in hand with local clergy, religious, catechists, and lay volunteers. Their collective effort has created a warm, welcoming environment that encourages sharing, prayer, and joyful fellowship.
As the camp concludes, we hope these young pilgrims return home renewed in spirit, strengthened in faith, and inspired to live as witnesses of Christ’s love within their own communities.
