On April 25, 2025, the inauguration of the celebrations for the tricentennial of the Revelation of the Rule of the Order of the Most Holy Redeemer took place at the monastery in Bielsko-Biała in Poland. On this significant occasion, the Redemptoristine Nuns and the Redemptorists united in prayer and thanksgiving.
At the beginning of the celebration, Sister Kazimiera Kut, OSsR, introduced those present to the profound meaning of the event:
“Exactly 300 years ago, on April 25, 1725, when Maria Celeste, a young novice in the monastery of the Visitandines, received Jesus in Holy Communion, a new life sprang from that Source: God the Father generated our Order, initially in her heart. Already then, He made her the Mother of our spiritual journey and of our mission in the Church.”
Among the guests were Father Mariusz Mazurkiewicz, CSsR, Vicar of the Provincial of the Redemptorists of the Warsaw Province; Father Sławomir Kołata from Bielsko; and Redemptorists from Tuchów, Elbląg, Bielsko-Biała and Lubaszowa, accompanied by novices, friends, benefactors and numerous devotees of Blessed Maria Celeste, gathered in various prayer groups.
During the homily, Father Mariusz highlighted the deep bond between the Redemptorists and the Redemptorists, united in a double religious institute that shares common roots and the same mission. He emphasized how Blessed Maria Celeste and Saint Alphonsus were able to recognize Christ in their daily reality, affirming with faith: “It is the Lord!” in the desire to fulfill God’s will. He also recalled the value of celebrating jubilees in personal and community life, as a moment of gratitude and awareness.
During the Eucharistic celebration, according to tradition, the nuns renewed their religious vows, thanking the Lord for the gift of the Rule mystically revealed to Maria Celeste 300 years ago.
After the Mass, guests were treated to a cake reception and an impressive multimedia presentation about the history and development of the Order. As a memento of the event, commemorative booklets and traditional sweets called “krówki” with thoughts from the Rules of Blessed Maria Celeste were distributed.
Thank God for everything!
