The Mid-Sexennium Meeting of the European Conference, which began on Monday, September 29th and will continue until Saturday, October 4th, continues in Salzburg, at the Pallottine House. The meeting brings together Father General Rogério Gomes, his Vicar, Father Francois Stanula, the Coordinator of the European Conference, Father Piotr Chyła, representatives of all the European Provinces, and a support team of reporters and translators.

The main objective of the meeting is to review the implementation of the decisions taken during the XXVI General Chapter (2022), strengthen the processes initiated and prepare the themes for the XXVII General Chapter in 2028, in the context of the Sexennium 2021–2028.

The working days are taking place in a fraternal and collaborative atmosphere. Among the topics covered:

  • initial and ongoing training;
  • mission shared with the laity;
  • safeguarding;
  • revision of Constitutions and Statutes;
  • restructuring and reconfiguration;
  • economic administration;
  • liturgy and community life;
  • preparation of the celebrations for the 300th anniversary of the Congregation (2032).

At the end of the meeting, from 6 to 8 October, the Annual Assembly of the Europe Conference will be held in the same place, dedicated to updating the Statutes, training planning and defining the next missionary and organizational steps.

These meetings represent a significant moment of shared reflection and discernment for the Congregation’s journey in Europe, strengthening communion and collaboration between various Units.
