Mid-Sexennium Meeting and Conference Assembly, October-November 2025

On October 27, at the Cristo Redentor Retreat House in Puerto Rico, our Congregation’s mid-year meeting began. The meeting commenced with Holy Mass, presided over by the Superior General, Fr. Rogério Gomes CSsR, and continued with moments of reflection, sharing, and fraternal communion.

During the morning, Fr. Rogério presented the synodal path of the General Government, highlighting the six points approved in the XXVI General Chapter, which have guided the life and mission of the Congregation throughout these years.

The proposed path includes the following stages:

2023: Year dedicated to the Community
2024: Year dedicated to Formation
2025: Year dedicated to the Mission
2026: Year dedicated to leadership
2027: Year dedicated to Redemptorist Spirituality
2028: Review of the Apostolic Life, in preparation for the XXVII General Chapter.

It is worth remembering that the congregation is preparing to celebrate its 300th anniversary.

Among the first reports presented by the General Government, one piece of news that caused great joy was that of Brazil: of the 4,513 Redemptorists in the world, 612 are in Brazil, which represents the largest number among all the units of the Congregation.

Participating from Rome are the Superior General, Brother Larry Luján, General Consultant, and Brother Diego Vinicio (Commission for the Brothers). Here is the complete list of participants:
