As part of the Holy Year of Hope, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Tiébissou, organized a parish pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Yamoussoukro, on Saturday 13th December, centered on the theme:

“Entering through the Holy Door: welcoming Mercy and becoming Pilgrims of Hope.”

This pilgrimage took place under the guidance of Frs. Siméon Chabi BIAOU, C.Ss.R. (Parish Priest), Divine-Paul Korsi, C.Ss.R. (Associate Priest), and Dennis Opoku Kusi, C.Ss.R., who accompanied the faithful through prayer, teaching, and the celebration of the sacraments.

The passage through the Holy Door was a powerful moment, inviting each pilgrim to a sincere journey of conversion and a renewed commitment to live out God’s mercy in daily life. The Eucharistic celebration and times of prayerful reflection strengthened fraternal communion and rekindled Christian hope.

At the conclusion of this spiritual journey, the pilgrims returned strengthened in faith, determined to be, in their various communities and daily lives, true pilgrims and witnesses of hope.

May Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for our parish community and may this pilgrimage bear abundant fruits of peace, charity, and fidelity to the Gospel.

The Living Faith of Propronou: A Source of Joy and Missionary Zeal

The fervour of faith lived within small village communities is, for us Redemptorist missionaries, a source of deep joy and renewal. Such is the case of the community of Propronou, in the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, Tiébissou, in the Diocese of Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.

Through their simple and trusting prayer, their fidelity to liturgical celebrations, and their warm fraternal welcome, the faithful of Propronou continually rekindle our apostolic zeal. At their side, we draw courage and hope to proclaim the Gospel with humility, closeness, and a missionary passion renewed day by day.

Placed under the patronage of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Christian community of Propronou continues to grow, both in number and in the depth of faith, thus offering a living witness to the Gospel at the heart of rural life.
