The Formees Gathering is an annual event that brings together all our seminarians, from those in the initial stages of formation to those in the final stages. It provides an opportunity for the seminarians to interact, build friendships and get to know one another better. This year, the Formees Gathering of the Vice Province of Majella was held at Dasya, Goa, India, from May 27 to 29, 2026. It was a time of self-discovery, spiritual nourishment and community building.

The programme began with the celebration of the Eucharist presided over by Fr Henry Fernandes, Vice Provincial Superior. This year’s programme offered a variety of enriching experiences. A session on growth and technology, especially in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), gave the seminarians valuable insights into the use of AI for evangelization. Sessions on self-awareness and emotional well-being helped them gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their personal growth. The gathering also provided opportunities to nurture creative talents. These activities culminated in a treasure hunt and the creation of video reels depicting the seminarians’ experiences in ministry.

During the gathering, three seminarians renewed their vows. The days were marked by games, prayer and meaningful moments of fellowship, all of which helped deepen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood. At the end of the three-day gathering, the seminarians returned to their seminaries to begin the new academic year. They left rejuvenated, enriched with happy memories and inspired with renewed zeal to continue their journey as Redemptorists.

We thank God for these 17 seminarians who are at different stages of formation. May the Lord continue to bless them with joy, generosity and perseverance as they discern His call and prepare themselves for service in the Church and the Congregation.
