The Redemptorist Province of Mexico is filled with great joy as on 24, and 25 November 2022, two confreres, Antonio Hernández López (originally from the municipality of Cenicera, San Luis Potosí) and Moisés Mosqueda Ventura (who was born in the city of Irapuato, Guanajuato) made the profession of perpetual vows and were ordained deacons.

These events took place at the Santa Anita Rectory (Redemptorist community of Irapuato, Guanajuato). Several brothers from our Province gathered to be eyewitnesses of these events. Also present was Fr. Brian Vaccaro, who belongs to the Baltimore Province. In turn, formandi from the initial stages of Redemptorist formation participated in this joy, together with family, friends and parishioners from the community of Irapuato.

Our confreres Antonio and Moisés professed their vows on 24 November 2022, at 7.30 p.m., before the Provincial Superior, Fr José Guadalupe Nazarín Ramos CSsR. Before him, they took perpetual vows of chastity, poverty and obedience and, according to the Redemptorist tradition since the time of St Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, the vow of perseverance. After the celebrations, the community was invited to attend a Thanksgiving dinner.

The following day, 25 November 2022, at 6 p.m., the diaconal ordination of our brothers Antonio and Moisés took place by the imposition of the hands of the Bishop of the City of Irapuato, Bishop Enrique Diaz Díaz. At the end of this Eucharistic celebration, a commemorative dinner was held in the garden of the Redemptorist community.

Congratulations to our Brothers Antonio and Moisés. May God bless them in their new stage of service and give them love, dedication and the gift of perseverance in their vocation.
