The new academic year 2025-2026 was inaugurated with solemnity and joy. The inauguration took place on 5th June 2025, marked by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at Santhome Minor Seminary, Podimattom in Kerala.
Rev. Fr. Shiju Mullasseril, the Vicar Provincial, was the main celebrant of the Mass. His presence and prayerful guidance added grace to the occasion. The homily was delivered by Rev. Fr. Shijo Meppilly, the Provincial consulter, who emphasized the importance of formation, discipline, and deepening one’s relationship with Christ in the journey toward priesthood. His words inspired the community to embrace the new academic year with renewed zeal and commitment.
The celebration was attended by the entire seminary community, including formators, Fr. Alex Theruvankunnel (Director) Fr. Johnson Kurianipadam (socius) and the seven new candidates who have joined the seminary this year. During this period, the students are taught Spoken English and grammar, basic information about Our Redemptorist congregation and it’s Charism, our Saints and blesseds and their devotions etc. The students are vibrant and active, and their presence brought new hope and enthusiasm in our formation house.
We intercede Our Mother of Perpetual Help and St. Alphonsus our founder for perseverance in their vocation.
