On October 11, Saint Gerard Parish in Khon Kaen, Thailand, joyfully celebrated its patronal feast in conjunction with the 300th Birth Anniversary of Saint Gerard Majella. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Bishop Joseph Luechai of Udon Thani—the diocese where our Redemptorist missionaries once sowed the first seeds of faith and helped build up the local Church, a mission that continues to this day.
Before the Mass, a beautiful cultural dance was performed to warmly welcome the Bishop and all the guests. Following the celebration, everyone shared a joyful meal together, deepening the spirit of communion and thanksgiving especially in this Jubilee year.
The event brought together numerous priests, religious, and lay faithful, and during the Mass several young parishioners received the Sacrament of Confirmation, marking another moment of grace for the community.
