For years, August 15th has been the day for the Redemptorists of the Warsaw Province when their brothers confirm in various ways their response to the divine vocation to religious life: some take the first step on the path of religious profession, others renew vows already made, and still others pronounce their final “yes” through perpetual vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience in the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.
Perpetual vows in Krakow
During the 12:00 noon Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Krakow, brothers Jakub Ciepły, Bartłomiej Laskowski, and Tomasz Pasieka professed their perpetual vows before the superior of the Warsaw Province of the Redemptorists, Father Provincial Dariusz Paszyński CSsR. With their profession of vows and the oath of perseverance in the Order until the end of their lives, the brothers dedicated themselves totally to Christ and to the mission of proclaiming the abundant Redemption, as proclaimed by Saint Alphonsus Liguori.
In his homily, the Provincial Father emphasized that Mary is the patroness and special guide of the Redemptorists in this total dedication to God: her life, from the moment of the Immaculate Conception, was entirely consecrated to God. The Mother of God is like an anchor for Christ’s disciples: she teaches fidelity to Jesus Christ and reminds us that a life consecrated to God leads to the fullness of union with Him.
First profession in Lubaszowa
At the end of their year of formation on August 15, 2026, the two novices, Brothers Piotr Raczyński and Jakub Różycki, professed their first religious vows during the 9:00 a.m. Mass in the chapel dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lubaszowa. Their profession was received on behalf of the Congregation by the Provincial Vicar, Fr. Mariusz Mazurkiewicz, CSsR.
Renewal of Vows in Krakow
On the same day, during the 7:30 morning prayer at the Redemptorist Major Seminary in Krakow, presided over by Father Provincial Dariusz Paszyński CSsR, eight seminarians and one religious brother renewed their religious vows.
Let us thank God for the gift of vocations and for the generosity of those who wish to consecrate their entire lives to Jesus Christ and His mission in the Church. May the vows we have taken not only be a solemn event lasting a single day, but the beginning and constant confirmation of our daily decision: “Yes, I want to belong to You—forever!”
