What is the FUNDERÉTICA choir and what is its purpose?

This is a musical and cultural project of FUNDERÉTICA, the European Foundation for the Study and Ethical Reflection, promoted by César García-Rincón de Castro in 2025, responsible for the socio-cultural and educational activities of the foundation since 2018. The choir has already begun rehearsals this May in the hall of the Perpetuo Socorro parish in Madrid.

The FUNDERÉTICA Choir, as a musical and cultural project, aims to be a channel for the experience of values and ethical reflection for its members, through coexistence in diversity and choral and collaborative work, as well as an artistic-emotional speaker of such values and ethical reflection through the musical works of its repertoire, grouped into monographic projects.

For this reason, the repertoire of the FUNDERÉTICA Choir is composed of choral musical pieces whose text and message make us reflect, discern, question us as a society and citizens, and help us to deepen our humanity and our existence.

What is the musical project of the FUNDERÉTICA Choir?

The FUNDERÉTICA Choir’s musical project for 2025 and 2026 is called  “Tiempo de Vivir y Cantar con Esperanza”  (Time to Live and Sing with Hope) and consists of a series of mixed 4-voice choral arrangements (SATB) made by César García-Rincón de Castro, taking into account a medium-low difficulty level for amateur choirs. In this sense, the FUNDERÉTICA Choir offers an innovative and diverse repertoire for both the arrangements and the musical pieces. The musical pieces that make up the “Tiempo de Vivir y Cantar con Esperanza” project can be seen here.

As time passes and the journey progresses, the FUNDERÉTICA choir will tackle new musical projects, always in the name of ethical values and human rights, in line with its mission.

From time to time, we will organize open choral workshops during the weekend, to introduce the choir, preparing with people enthusiastic and interested in the choral world, two or three pieces of our repertoire in such workshops. Likewise, from time to time we will organize an internal master class with experts in singing and musical interpretation, in order to increase the technique and improve singing, both individually and chorally.
