From November 10 to 14, 2025, the Redemptorist house in Krakow hosted the annual spiritual retreat for the confreres of the Warsaw Province. Thirty-three Polish Redemptorists participated.

The theme chosen for this year was: “Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel.” The retreat was led by Father Piotr Chyła, CSsR, Coordinator of the Redemptorist Conference of Europe. His intense and spiritually rich reflections guided participants through a journey of reflection on their missionary vocation and the presence of Christ in their daily lives.

On the first day, Fr. Piotr recalled the story of Abraham’s calling, presenting it as an example of listening and obedience to God. His story became the starting point for a reflection on trust and the willingness to follow God’s call, even in times of uncertainty and hardship.

A particularly significant moment was the third day, during which the awareness that every Redemptorist is, first and foremost, a missionary was reaffirmed. At the heart of the reflections was the question of how to proclaim the Gospel today, in a world marked by wounds, uncertainties, and spiritual disorientation. Common prayer, listening to the Word of God, and sharing experiences of service helped rediscover our missionary identity and the urgency of being present alongside those most in need of hope and God’s closeness.

A spirit of brotherhood and prayer characterized the entire time spent together. Participants were able to rediscover the beauty of the Redemptorist charism and strengthen their commitment to bringing the good news to all those in need.
